Sleep

So here is a quick little something about me.... I don't sleep well at night! I take about a half hour to an hour to fall asleep and in the mean time I'm just tossing and turning. On top of not falling asleep right away when my head hits the oh so comfy pillow I wake up in the middle of the the night two to three times to use the restroom.... Do I sound old yet?
Usually I just lay in bed thinking of everything that I need to do or what I have messed up on during the day. When I was in school I was way stressed out and my sleep was pretty bad. Yes, since I have been just working full time rather then in school full time, my stress level has gone down quiet a bit.
I have always thought that getting up so many times in a night was a normal night for me until my Aunt suggested a little something to me! It is called Natural Calm. It is a magnesium supplement.
When you are stressed your body uses up magnesium to help keep you calm. The problem is is that we do not eat many foods that contain magnesium to replenish our natural stress relievers. I have recently just started taking Natural Calm daily for about a week straight and have noticed a huge difference!
I now sleep all the way through the night and I can fall asleep roughly fast once my head lays on the pillow! It is so wonderful to know that I can find out a way to help me sleep without using a sleeping pill!

The Count Down is On

These past few months seem to have flown by! Here is a little update since December. I still am working at the Hospice House but instead of full time I am working just 32 hours. Meaning I'm just getting one extra day off within a two week period.
Wedding planning is coming along nicely. But now it is becoming crunch time. We have just 87 days till the Big Day so the count down is on! Mom and I have been non-stop talking about different wedding subjects every day! It is amazing what is all left to discuss after so much has already been planned! I had my first actual dress fitting this past Monday! It got me so excited to be in my dress again with it fitting to a tee and everything just coming together and looking wonderfully! In a couple of weeks I will be heading to Ft. Collins to meet up with my cousin who is in cosmetology school. She is going to be doing my hair for the wedding and will be doing a practice run when I see her.

The latest development on the wedding is the cake! I really wanted to do cup cakes with just a display cake but my mom found this cute cookie mold maker that is shaped as a daisy! So instead of cup cakes we will be doing cookies on a stick! I think it is going to be very cute for what I have planned with the set up. The display cake will be in the middle of the table but around the cake will be some sort of turf, fake grass, or green foam; then the cookie daisies will be stuck in the "grass" around the cake!
I have picked out all the flowers for the wedding a few weeks ago and had a meeting with our florist! I want them to feel like wild flowers with lots of greenery.

Of course we already have our place and reception where we are getting married.
Oh and exciting news! We got Phil measured and all of the men clothes picked out! They will be wearing grey pants, black suspenders, with of course black skinny ties. Phil will also be wearing a vest and a yellow skinny tie. Something sorta like these guys:
As far as other planning, well, it is coming along. Our invitations will be printed soon and so I will be writing out a bunch of addresses!
Not much else has happened in my life right now. It is pretty consumed with wedding planning, work, and sleeping!

Christmas Day a Day of Celebration

You may ask what this build is and why I have it under a title "Christmas Day a Day of Celebration". This building is where I work, it is the Hospice House. This Christmas I worked on Christmas Eve and Christmas day both on the night shift. During the 24th we had almost a full house which is 12 rooms, we had 10 full. Throughout the night we had several who I thought were going to pass away. During my shift (11:00pm to 7:30 am) one patient did pass away. When I came back to work on Christmas day I had found out that four more had passed away. Five patients total on Christmas day passed away.

At first I was kinda sad of the thought but then I thought WOW what a day to pass away on! JESUS' BIRTHDAY! To be able to leave this sinful world and go to heaven and join the biggest birthday bash ever! Man that would be awesome! I have never seen so may patients die in one day like this and I truly believe it is because Christmas day is a little more special then any other day. A day to celebrate not only Jesus' birth but our new birth in heaven! I'm sure those angels are singing all the louder on Christmas day.
Merry CHRISTmas to you all and Thank you God for sending your Son down to earth so that we may join you in Your Holy House.

"C" is for the Christ Child-

C is for the Christ Child born upon this day
H is for Herald Angels in the night
R means our redeemer
I means Israel
S is for the star that shone so bright
T is for three wise men they who travelled far
M is for the manger where he lay
A’s for all he stands for
S means shepherds came
And that’s why there’s a Christmas day
T is for three wise men they who travelled far
M is for the manger where he lay
A’s for all he stands for
S means shepherds came
And that’s why there’s a Christmas day
And that’s why there’s a Christmas day.
